Delhi University Admission Schedule 2019

It is that time of the year again when the prestigious Delhi University is all set to start their admission procedure. While there is no official declaration as yet, a tentative schedule has come out. The admission process for the Delhi University for the session 2019-20 for all Undergraduate programmes is likely to commence from April 15, 2019, and to close on 7 May 2019.

Delhi University Admissions 2019: New Changes

For the very first time, the admission portal will reopen on May 20 for 2 weeks for updating marks and courses.

With the implementation of EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) quota, in accordance with the one hundred and third amendment of the constitution of India, DU announced in the admissions committee meeting that the increase will be implemented in two phases - 10 percent in the first year and the remaining 15 percent in the next year.

This year onwards, there will be a deduction of only 2 percent from the cut-off for students changing their streams, unlike 5 percent until the previous year.

According to a PTI report, the University is in touch with the Central Board of Secondary Education(CBSE) to reduce cases of fake document submissions. It aims to directly obtain the mark sheet and certificates directly. Also, the university plans to hire forensic experts to check the veridicality of mark sheets.
