Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) – a brief History: Lady Shri Ram College for Women also known as LSR is a very famous women only college of Delhi University (DU). LSR Delhi has been selected as India’s Best Arts College by India Today in 2015. It is one of the leading women’s college of the University of Delhi that offers courses in Humanities, Social Sciences and Commerce.

LSR DU was established in 1956 by Lala Shri Ram in remembrance of his beloved wife Phoolan Devi (Lady Shri Ram), in New Delhi. The infrastructure of LSR consists of a refurbished, user-friendly, computerized library with around 1,20,000 books, internet access, 5000 journals and 127 in-house journals. Lady Shri Ram College for Women is supervised by a Board of Governors, drawn from the fields of industry, law, journalism, bureaucracy academics and, acknowledged by the Chairmanship of industrialist and philanthropist, Dr. Bharat Ram. The current principal of Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) is Dr. Suman Sharma.

The Lady Shri Ram College Delhi initially started in a school building which was located in Daryaganj (New Delhi) which accommodated 243 students, 3 distinct courses of study, 9 faculty and 4 support staff. Whereas, now the college is located in the land of 15 acre campus. The current Lady Shri Ram College for Women Address is Lajpat Nagar (South Delhi). The college accommodates approximately 2,000 students, over 150 faculty offering 16 courses.

The Lady Shri Ram College for women (LSR) cut off list is set very high as its a very prestigious college of Delhi University. Most DU Colleges set a very high cut off like all the other colleges belonging Delhi University. The first cut-off list of Lady Shri Ram College was released on 24 June 2015 for the Academic session 2015-16. This LSR Cut off list displayed 98% for B.A (Hons.) Economics, 98.25% for B.A. (Hons.)
